The adds register, historical/current use, outing risk and discovery-keyword controls to baseline terms without repeating their definitions. No word can confirm a person or venue as LGBTQ+.
- 성소수자 (seongsosuja)
- sexual/gender minority; a common formal umbrella.
- 퀴어 (kwieo)
- queer; reclaimed in cultural, activist and community contexts. Individual preference still matters.

- 일반 (ilban)
- a community contrast for non-LGBT people in some contexts. Do not translate it as implying LGBTQ+ people are “abnormal.”

- 종태원 (jongtaewon)
- a colloquial blend of Jongno + Itaewon used in some gay-community/app discourse. It is not an official place name.

- 커밍아웃 / 아우팅 (coming out / outing)
- self-disclosure versus involuntary disclosure of someone’s LGBTQ+ status. Keep the distinction explicit.
- 호모 (homo)
- appears in older queer history but can be derogatory today; not recommended as a neutral visitor-facing term.
