About Armenia

Armenia’s current public queer and cultural layer is concentrated in Yerevan, alongside national rights and community organisations.

Queer History

Yerevan's early queer nightlife included Meline's, which opened in 2004, announced closure and reopened in 2007, then held its final party in 2008. Poligraf opened in 2019, was raided in 2023 and reopened, but closed permanently in 2024; both belong to Armenia's LGBTQ+ cultural history rather than its current venue list.

LGBTQ+ Culture

Relokant is listed as a queer-welcoming community bar with recurring queer parties and a broader community program. Esthetic Joys and Calumet remain mixed cultural venues outside Active membership; visitors should check Calumet’s current entry policy before going. Pink Armenia and other community programs remain distinct from commercial nightlife.
