Queer History
Although consensual same-sex relations were not generally criminalized, article 248bis imposed an unequal age of consent from 1911 until its repeal in 1971. COC formed in 1946 and became one of the world's oldest LGBTQ+ organizations, and the Netherlands opened civil marriage to same-sex couples in 2001.
